Floorcraft, Musicality & Supervised Practice Group Class
A seriously fun addition to your Learn to Dance Program
To help you learn to dance well, Firefly runs a supervised practice session each week which will help you develop your floorcraft & musicality. To get value from this class you need to have learned a minimum of 3 basic patterns in at least the following dance styles (Waltz, Foxtrot, Tango, Rumba, East Coast Swing and Cha Cha).
The supervised practice class gives you the opportunity each week to dance, refresh or refine the dance skills you have already learned, with a teacher on hand to assist you and challenge you!
Why should I attend the Supervised Practice Class?
Because:
- You can have fun dancing and practising steps you already know with your fellow students.
- You will have a teacher on hand to prompt your memory if you forget and answer the questions you have, in a supportive forum. There was probably someone else dying to ask the same question!
- Hearing other people’s questions will often trigger more questions of your own, so advancing your understanding of the dance style in question.
- While no new patterns are covered in this class it is a fantastic way to get in some social dancing and hone your skills while an expert is around.
- You will learn much more about musicality and floorcraft and be challenged in a supportive environment to use what you already know.
This class is included in Firefly Dance Club Full and Social Memberships.
