A wedding consultation with Firefly Dance Club is the first step in designing a personalised wedding program that suits you. At this meeting we will make sure we fully understand your ideas and needs. Then we can work with you to make the preparation and execution of your wedding dance the highlight of your Reception and all at a budget you can afford. Your guests will never remember the colour of the napkins but they will talk forever, about your wedding dance!

The wedding consultation will cover a number of practicalities which can affect the dance style you choose:

How much previous dance experience, if any, that you have.
How much dance floor space is available at your venue. For example, Salsa needs much less space than Waltz.
Consider any dress restrictions.
How complex or how straightforward you would like to make your wedding dance.
Your music choice/s. We suggest you bring along some of your favourite music: we can then recommend, and give you a feel for, the dance styles that will match your music.
How much time you have and how many lessons you were thinking of taking prior to your Wedding Day.

The next step is to arrange your lessons at a time that suits you and start having fun. Most couples take approximately 10 lessons. If you have time, we can start you with a Dance Starter Kit, which will give you a feel for several of the most popular dance styles, before concentrating on the wedding dance.

You will find dance lessons at Firefly quite a relief from the other stresses around the wedding and a wonderful opportunity to spend some quality time together. After all, apart from the ceremony itself, the wedding dance has major romantic significance at the start of your married life – a memorable moment for the two of you and your guests.
