Ashley McHenry’s Bio
Born in Tasmania, Ashley started dancing at the age of 16. Taking classes in contemporary dance and classical ballet at the North West Academy of Dance. Whilst in Tasmania, he performed the role of Steve in Hair the musical and danced a supporting role in the ballet Coppelia.
In 2004 Ashley moved to Sydney to further his dance training, taking classes in contemporary dance and classical ballet at Alegria Dance Studios. Upon arriving in Sydney, Ashley successfully auditioned for the youth dance company DanceTank where he was involved in their shows; Drill in 2005, Special Mention in 2006 and Freedom to Launch in 2007.
In 2008 Ashley completed his latin and ballroom teacher training at Firefly Dance Club. He now looks forward to continuing his dance career as a teacher at Firefly Dance Club.
