Firefly Dance Club specialises in helping beginners discover how easy it is to learn to dance. If you have two left feet, Firefly Dance Club can help, if you feel uncoordinated Firefly Dance Club can help, if you lack confidence Firefly can help, and if you are just ready to learn to dance – however long you have been thinking about it – Firefly can help!..
Social dancing is great at any age. We have beginners from their teens to mid 60′s, many of whom have been thinking about learning to dance for a number of years. And you don’t have to have a partner to social dance although you can bring a partner or friend if you wish.
Finally, you have found a place to dance at Firefly Dance Club that welcomes beginners of all adult ages and abilities. We have not yet found someone we can’t teach and we look forward to working with you. Our professional staff are experts in helping new dancers through their first dancing steps. We get enormous satisfaction from seeing our students progressing and enjoying themselves on the dance floor.

Firefly Dance Club is the place to dance and a great place to start – we are friendly, supportive, patient and definitely not intimidating! It’s our job to find a way that works for you and make it feel easy. We will put you at your ease – we are the experts when it comes to beginners.
It’s not long since most of our more advanced social dancers were in the same position, so they are very supportive and helpful. They often join in beginner classes to help new beginners. We’ve seen plenty of people go from shaking to laughing in one lesson. So the hardest part is deciding to come through the front door – just leave your nerves and the stresses of everyday life at Reception and really enjoy the inclusiveness and friendly atmosphere of the Firefly Dance Club.
What do we offer to Beginners to Make Learning to Dance Easy and Fun?
To cater to a wide range of people, Firefly Dance Club offers an excellent range of partner dancing styles. You can try the high energy and spice of Salsa, the life and freedom of Swing, the grace and elegance of the Ballroom dances or the passion and romance of the Latin dances. We are committed to helping you identify and meet your dancing goals. We make sure we understand what you want from your dancing and help you achieve it in manageable stages. Your teacher will help you plan a program that suits your lifestyle and budget – with no contracts and no pressure!
To get just a taste of dancing and to see what the Firefly Dance Club has to offer, come and try the Dance Sampler Class. Twice a week we present two dances in a way that makes it easy for first time dancers to learn. The Dance Sampler has a rotating 6 week program designed to allow you to try the most popular Ballroom, Latin and Swing dances. Any week can be your first week, just show up and discover how much you like dancing.
You will have the opportunity to try these dances:

- Cha Cha
- Waltz
- Foxtrot
- Tango
The Dance Sampler Class meets every Thursday at 6:30 pm (6.15pm from Jan 2011) and Saturday at 10.45am.
Call 1300 725 977 today to let us know you are coming or just show up at the studio a few minutes before the class. Each class costs $20/person or four class ($70) & eight class ($120) passes are available.
If you prefer the idea of private lessons, try the Firefly Dance Starter Kit. This is an excellent value package which includes 5 private lessons, some Sampler classes and entry to a Firefly Friday Social Night. It is the perfect introduction to the Firefly Dance Club.
