Wanna mambo? No, we are not referring to a range of surfwear or a software platform. Mambo (the dance) was the original dance that led to the development of salsa and cha cha. It's primary difference is the emphasis (and the first step) being on the 2nd count of the measure of music. You can try this dynamic, earthy dance at the Friday dance night on the 7th of November at 7.30pm, where you can also learn Tango and dance to all your favourites. Entry is free for members, $20 for guests. |

| Firefly Dance Club Information Night Mon Oct 20 6.30pm Have you wanted to learn to dance, but found the thought intimidating? Have you sat watching others dance and wanted to be on the dance floor with them? Would you like to dance in a way that feels natural, looks good and is easy and fun to learn? If so, Firefly's information night is for you! Our information night will begin at 6.30pm with an informal presentation. We will answer questions commonly asked by people new to the dance floor and demonstrate the dances we teach. At 7.15pm you will have a chance to try dancing, with an introduction to Foxtrot and Salsa. You can learn to dance, we guarantee it! Come along for a chance to win a private dance lesson.
