Firefly Dance Club
The Firefly Dance Club offers excellence in
social dance instruction. We specialise in a range of
social partner dances including Ballroom, Latin,
Salsa and
Swing. We offer personalised
programs to help you learn at your own pace and have a lot of fun.
We are located at 23 Dickson Ave Artarmon. In the heart of the lower
North Shore. We are just off the Gore Hill Freeway easy to get to from
anywhere on the North Shore and less than 10 minutes drive from the
Eastern Suburbs.
Dancing is a great way to meet new people and have fun. Our dance club is designed with an emphasis
on providing opportunities for you to practice what you have learned in lessons - social dance.
Whether you have never danced before or are very accomplished, whether you
are young or just young at heart, you are welcome to our world of fun and
active involvement in the fabulous activity of dance. And it is not necessary
to bring a partner.

The Firefly Dance Club offers
a comprehensive program of
group dance classes. On Monday
through Thursday evenings we run a range of
classes for you to choose from. Private lessons are also available afternoon and evening.
Our wide range of group classes on offer allows Firefly Dance Club’s classes to focus
on individual dances in a carefully sequenced progression to maximise advancement
towards higher levels of proficiency.
Of course, if you don’t feel confident about moving to the next level, you
can repeat a class to consolidate your learning. Or you can take several
group classes on the same night or over several days, maybe in different dance
styles and/or different levels. Just check the schedule!
In addition to classes on specific dances we also offer classes on
techniques that can be applied to a range of dances, improving your dancing
across the board. Review classes are available to ensure those who have not
danced recently or are joining us from other studios can easily slot in at the
right level.
Each class runs for eight weeks.
If you want to experience the grace and elegance of the Ballroom dances we
offer classes in Waltz, Foxtrot, Tango and Viennese Waltz.
To experience the fiery heat of the sexy Latin dances we offer classes in
a range of styles.
For those who wish to dance in the Latin nightclubs, we
offer classes in the street Latin styles of Salsa, Argentine Tango, Merengue,
Mambo, Bolero, Bachata, Cha Cha and Nightclub Two Step.
For those who want to try the Latin American dances they have seen in
competitions or on the television (both Dancing with the Stars and Strictly
Dancing) we have classes in similar styles for Samba, Cha Cha, Mambo, East
Coast Swing, Bolero and Rumba.
For the Freedom and energy of Swing we offer classes in East Coast Swing,
West Coast Swing and Lindy Hop.
